So the Poll is over

Last week or the week before, can't remember- we put a poll up on the blog to see who would wear a Slave To Target T-shirt.

Last time I checked, earlier today the votes were up to almost 400 people voted, and under 100 said they would NOT wear one, the rest said "yeah baby"! All of a sudden the poll stopped working and we cannot login to the free polling system to get our results, I guess nothing is free huh?

We found out recently that we cannot make the t-shirts we wanted to due to obvious legal reasons. We will think of something Target lovers- do not worry!

We will make this happen and we will start a revolution of red cart romantics all around the country! If you are super rich and want to sponsor our pop culture venture email us at: slavetotarget@yahoo.com

Thanks and love you-

I think the infatuation is a lot about the

marketing!

I know a bit about marketing... I mean HELLO look around and I don't even work for Target. Maybe some day they will bring me on as a trend specialist or something fancy but for right now I will just do my part to counsel my fellow Target addicts and justify my own purchases.

Recent salivations have revolved around a delish photo of a shelf unit on the Target homepage that just makes me want to get organized and this cake stand, well I had to have it. I DO have it and right now it is home to a few cupcakes. I mean, for the love of slaves it's only $9.99!

What else am I drooling over? Hmmm well since you asked:

I dig a good gaucho:

Not quite available yet but I can still wish.

I will take one of these in each color only $29.99!

Ok I am done for now. Be back later. I have a "real" job you know....

Shaun of the Dead

This is my movie pick of the month and most likely one of my favorite movies of all time. Shaun of the Dead is a part British horror, part comedy movie that was released in 2004. The synopsis of the film starts with brain-hungry zombies taking over the streets of London, yet an uninspired electronics salesman Shaun (Simon Pegg) can only think about Liz (Kate Ashfield), his girlfriend who just broke up with him. Shaun along with his freeloading roommate Ed (Nick Frost), manage to round up Liz, Shaun’s mom, and other friends to what they believe are a safe sanctuary. If you’re not a fan of zombie movies, I implore you to give this one a try. On the surface it’s a movie full of brain dead zombies and a few shocking moments, but unlike most horror movies, this one is brilliantly comical and witty.

Shaun of the Dead is available at Target.com selling for 25% off the list price. Be sure to browse Target’s DVD collection for other great deals.

For the Biker Chick in You

Now I don't think this quite fits my daytime image of being a mommy, pushing the stroller and lugging a diaper bag around. Though at night, that's another thing. When I do finally get a chance to let my inner rebel self out in the open, I'd like to add a little ostentation to my wardrobe. This black leather drawstring bag is the perfect addition. This leather hobo is highlighted by 1/2" shiny nickel studs. A hot fuschia cotton lining adds to the grandiosity of the look. Of course this bag belongs in only one place ... the Red Hot Shop at Target.com ... check it out!

Watashi No Namae wa Yumi Desu

"Yumi Speaks Japanese Doll"

When my son gets a little older I would like for my son to learn another language. I'm thinking either Japanese or French. Learning a foreign language would be easier for my son to absorb when he's younger rather than wait till he's in high school. Target.com offers these fabulous dolls that can teach your child another language. There are dolls for both boys and girls. Languages offered are Japanese, French, Spanish, Russian, Greek, Hebrew, German, Chinese and Italian. Each doll says over 25 words and phrases in both English and their second language.

"Jolie Speaks French Doll"

"Ricky Speaks Spanish Doll"

I also thought that it would be pretty cool if my son and I could talk about my husband and he'd never know what we were saying! Visit Target.com to see more of these fantastic dolls. Ah, one more thing ... the above title translates in English from Japanese to be "My name is Yumi", in case you were wondering.
