Paul & Joe- I can smell it!

Department: Designer Duds

I am SO excited about this whole Paul and Joe line that will be in Target soon. They had the P&J boutique party this past Thursday night. Where was I in these pics? Why am I not invited? GEESH. I am way prettier than Kimberly Stewart, she is skinnier though...

See pics at this super cool celeb photo site

I can't wait to see the line in person. VC (a blog superfan) just wrote in that she saw it and it's fab!

  • I saw it in 3/4 of the Targets I frequent (I live in the middle of them all!) and I give it 1 1/2 thumbs up. It's a lot nicer and more sophisticated than the Luella and Tara Jarmon designs. It's very chic but not as well made as one would hope. Some of the fabrics are really flimsy and not sewn very well. However, there are some very nice pants and tops. The stuff will work well for the fall. It's a lot of peaches and greens in silk and wool. I love the peach. I wish their sizes didn't run small (which they do) and that they would put out all the stuff out at one time instead of putting more stuff out in the 4-6 weeks they're saying. It seems like as each set of 90 days pass, the designers are getting better and better. Who's next?!

  • Once again I'm disappointed at the line. Though the clothes are cute, the fabric are cheap, very Forever 21.

  • I love the blue P&J dress in the pictures.

  • The kimono dress that everyone, as well as I loved, IS HORRIBLE! It's a total letdown. I was so excited because I even had shoes to match a great little dinner coming up to wear it to. Ugh, the thing fits terribly with GIANT cheap fabric sleeves that is very ill fitting. It's like a giant bag that just hangs on you and getting a smaller size doesn't help. It was by far my favorite item in the collection and now it's the very worst.

When I put it on, I walked out to the three-way mirror laughing and so did some other customers who put the dress back as well. Ew.

  • I was so looking forward to this collection, but le sigh, it is just as bad as the other Go collections. Was it in the movie "clueless" when the girls described someone/something as a Monet, that being someone/something that looked great from afar but ugly up close? That is how I would describe this collection...cute from afar but then up close you see the poor construction and poor materials. It's sad because when the clothes at Target fit (that is Mossimo, etc), they're great...but this Go stuff is just bad.

  • Paul & Joe is my favorite line in the GO series so far! (Luella I liked much better than Tara Jarmon, who only had a couple pieces I really cared to keep). I'm constantly checking the website and my several local stores. The suspense of what's going to come out next and when is killing me! :D If only I lived closer to the LA boutique...
