Help A Girl Out

Department: snacks

A STT reader writes in with this. Help her out if you can-

"I NEED...really ARcher Farms (target brand) Cajun Party Mix It used to be in the front aisle next to the cashiers...then they put in halloween stuff and it's GONE..like mysteriously disappeared..at all our targets..??? I asked associates in both stores and they told me it must have gone on clearance...BUT, there were so many left? I follow a strict eating plan and don't do hydrogenated oils..it is one of the few snacks that do not have it.

Can anyone tell me if they have it? I would be willing to pay for a few jars plus extra"

  • we don't have a super target near us, even within 50 miles. But I have two normal targets and both removed them. I just find it strange how that happened to both and the product is totally gone?

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE Target, but I have the same problem with another Archer Farms product they "used to" carry -- the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzels. The label is still on the shelf next to the other AF stuff, but no Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzels.... It's probably the cosmos' way of saying my bumm doesn't need to get any wider. :)

  • That snack mix was in "mini seasonal". It has now changed to holloween. Have no fears however though, because one of 2 things will happen to it, either it will go on clearance (it might not have YET, but still will) or it will be set with the regular snack mixes soon. It sounds like you have a smaller store so the clearence sounds more likely...but we'll see. When I work tomorrow I will TRY to find the Target item number for you...that way you can have your TM check the backroom for it. IF the requester is reading this and would send me an email at darrinross AT gmail DOT com with any identifying info on the snack mix...I'd appreciate it!

  • Hi Darrin,
If you could provide the DPCI, that would be helpful.

  • Oreos also do not have hydrogenated oil.

  • Oreo's still contain PHO, they said they were going to get rid of them..also..read labels, even if it says no trans fats, it can still contain a percentage of PHO. After the heart assoc, finally got behind it, you see major companies finally removing all trans fats...Wendys is going pHO free also..

  • Raki,
You may have better luck calling Target Guest services. They could work with you on identifying the department it is in and giving you locations of the item and/or emailing the merchandising team for your item. Feedback like this is always valuable to the merchandising team when planning assortments. Thanks.
