And I thought the leggings were bad! The awful ankle-zipper and acid washed jeans you guys found were truly frightening. But what takes the cake? Did you see your Sunday Target circular yet today? Page 22?

Yes, that's an actual image from this week's Target ad. Tights and LEG WARMERS and STIRRUP TIGHTS!!! On sale! Because who would pay full price them?

I know this site is all about showing Target the love, but nobody's perfect, right? Not even our dear, cherished Target. And this, my friends, is proof!

  • I had to hide the ad from my boyfriend who has an unhealthy obsession with 80's fashion. Errr... clarifying that he would want ME to wear the legwarmers. Not that he would want to wear them!

  • I'm not saying that I would wear leg warmers, but I like that Target caters to both classic designs and the trendy stuff. I tend to buy classic clothes elsewhere and pay a little more and get my trendy stuff at Target, so when it goes out of style, I haven't wasted my money. So I say cheers to Target for carrying the funky stuff.

  • I was horrified by the ad this morning, and that was before seeing the stirrup tights. I have to say, though, after reading the modern gal's comment, that I guess I should be grateful, too, that our Target does cater to those who lived the 80s and those who want to relive it (two completely separate groups). I do have to draw the line, however, at stirrup anything. Let that one lie...
